1. Who we are
Wasselni 24 ("the App", "we", "us") is a software platform that connects independent riders and independent drivers in the Chouf region and across Lebanon. Wasselni 24 is not a transportation company, does not employ drivers, does not own vehicles, and does not set or collect ride fares. Riders and drivers negotiate the price of each ride directly between themselves.
2. Information we collect
When you create an account or use the App we collect: full name, phone number, preferred language, and real-time GPS location while the App is open. Drivers additionally provide: vehicle type, make, model, colour, plate number, gender (used only to route "Ladies" ride requests to female drivers), and the documents needed to verify identity and driving eligibility (national ID, driver's licence, vehicle registration).
3. How we use your data
We use your data exclusively to: (a) operate the matching service between riders and drivers, (b) display nearby online drivers on the map, (c) verify driver eligibility before they go online, (d) provide trip safety features, and (e) respond to support requests. We never sell your data to advertisers and we never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Location data
A driver's live location is broadcast to nearby riders only while the driver is set to Online. A rider's pickup point is shared with the matched driver after a request is accepted. Location tracking stops when the trip ends or when the driver goes Offline. Background location is never collected.
5. Payments
Ride fares are paid in cash directly to the driver. Wasselni 24 does not process, hold, or take a commission on any ride payment. Use of the App by drivers is currently free; if any software fees are introduced in the future, they will be announced in advance inside the App.
6. Data retention
Account information is kept for as long as the account is active. Trip history is retained for up to 24 months for safety, dispute resolution, and the driver's earnings overview. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting support.
7. Your rights under Lebanese law
In line with Lebanon's Electronic Transactions & Personal Data Law (Law No. 81 of 2018), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, withdraw your consent, and request deletion of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
8. Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Communications with our servers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Driver verification documents are stored in restricted, access-controlled storage.
